Taylor the intern and I are so pleased to announce Benjamin Boa from theInstagram page @i.am.boa as The Featured Collector Of The Week! Benjamin currently studying fashion design in the UK came to little surprise when I heard about this.
His styling and ability to collect the pieces, not just pieces to collect, is a trait I admire and relate to very much.
While discovering Benjamin's page, Taylor and I knew we needed to have him featured to discuss his investment of the epic Rick Owens Pod Shorts.

What do you love about this piece?: Rick Owens pod shorts are my go-to piece for achieving the typical Rick Owens look. They're also the most comfortable pants I own and love the casual and dressed down look they have, whilst still looking fashion conscious. Rick Owens is all about playing with proportions and exaggerating aspects of clothing, so I love the extreme dropped crotch and the amazingly deep pockets (can fit many sandwiches and passports in these haha).
Any styling tips you suggest with the item?: I feel that the majority of garments Rick produces look great with pods, especially when you balance the long dropped crotch with a tighter top and then some chunky shoes such as Geos or Ramones with long socks covering the bottom half of the leg. But they also look great with low tops such as the adidas runner collabs.
Maintenance suggestions?: Like many Rick pieces these need to be worn fairly carefully to minimize the need to wash them. Some people throw them in the washing machine, but I like to get them dry cleaned every now and then so they keep their shape and softness. However they tend not to get too dirty with careful regular wear so that's great too.
Sizing tips?: As someone with thicker legs than the average Rick Owens shopper I got my true size as I figured they would come up tight, but in fact these are the most relaxed and accommodating shorts I own, so could definitely have sized down (which I have done on pieces I bought after). The drawstring waist not only looks good but also enables these to fit most people!
