A bit about me… I am 26 years old, I love textures, shapes, and neutral tones, cats and dogs, my family and a great bottle of wine if I have no champagne.
My educational background began in fashion marketing, followed by another passion, fitness, and finally, the last 3 years in business marketing.
Studying fashion made me understand that I am not your typical fashionista. I had ideas that weren’t widely accepted, so neither was I lol. I had a hard time fitting in to their parameters and it was devastating at the time to not fit in, as I knew that this was something that I was passionate about, so why was it all wrong? After a year in that fashion hell, I walked away and moved on to another love of mine, fitness.
Going to school for fitness helped me further understand the human body. How to shape and mold, distort and accept that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, very much like fashion. As educational as the experience was, the fitness industry was not enough to hold my attention for long, but I found that marketing was.
Marketing was definitely my favourite program. I learned how to present an idea or a product in a way that it would be understood, appreciated and applauded. I understood how to bring an idea to life. During this time as my ideas were appreciated and understood, my confidence began to return. By the time I completed school and began to make my own money, my inner fashionista returned with new found confidence and a healthy bank account! A dangerous combination, but also the beginning of the greatest adventure to come, The Featured Article.
I am drawn to a future career as a fashion show director/creator. Nothing would make me happier than to partner with an amazing designer and create an experience of a lifetime together. Discovering the perfect venue, style, models, invitations, props, music, etc. to showcase the designers vision is my future objective.
In my spare time, I love working with metal and building jewelry! I just started this creative outlet and take weekly classes at a studio in Toronto. I jumped into this because I love accessories (especially rings and necklaces), and I haven’t connected with any pieces that I try on in shops. Trying pieces on is very important to me, being able to feel that energy. I couldn’t find it, so I decided I will make it myself! I believe in healing elements are within certain materials, colours, and crystals, so I incorporate these elements into each of my pieces. I will post an explanation of the pieces for you someday soon to check out each story, meaning, and healing element they provide.
